Waiting on Wednesday....

Today's Waiting on Wednesday is Sweet Reckoning by Wendy Higgins.

It’s time.

Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

This epic conclusion is probably by far my favorite ending of a trilogy that I have read lately. It's so hard to say goodbye to characters we've grown to love, to a series we rallied for more of (and anytime Wendy wants to give us more Kai or Kope - well....I highly doubt there will be any complaints!) and to a series that has exemplified that there you are always in charge of your destiny. It surpassed my expectations for it and the FEELS. Oh the feels in this book are almost too much. You are going to laugh, cry, cheer, and scream throughout this book, with these characters you've grown to love.

~~~ Snippet~~~
I know, I know that everyone is all for snippets of Kai and Anna but Wendy has given out many of them so I randomly picked a page number to choose a sneak peek from.
"A turkey?" Patti asked. "Oh, honey, I like the sound of this."
I thought she might. I'd gotten all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal.
We took everything into the kitchen and I looked around at the stainless steel appliances and stone tiled backsplash.
"Wow, this house is...."
"Overboard?" Patti asked. "Ridiculously huge and fancy?  Yes. Your father is a nutcase."
